Friends and Supporters of Adventist HealthCare Washington Adventist Hospital put their putters, drivers and irons to good use on May 9, helping to raise more than $212,000, a record amount for the tournament. Funds raised will support the building of our new state-of-the-art, acute care hospital in White Oak. 153 golfers participated in the day-long event at the Country Club at Woodmore in Bowie.
“Adventist HealthCare Washington Adventist Hospital in White Oak will build upon our mission of treating the whole person and approaching healthcare holistically, which dates back more than 100 years and continues to set us apart today,” said Erik Wangsness, president of Adventist HealthCare Washington Adventist Hospital.
“The golf classic continues to grow because of the generous support of Kenneth Michael, Chairman of the NAI The Michael Companies, as our underwriter for the sixth year in a row,” said James Damron, vice president and chief development officer at Adventist HealthCare. “We are honored recipients of his philanthropic leadership.”
Our major tournament sponsors also included First Colonies Anesthesia Associates, Trammel Crow Company and Turner Construction Company. Thank you to all of the sponsors, golfers and volunteers who made the golf classic a success!
