Terry Forde, Adventist Healthcare CEO, stands with EagleBank’s Andy Bridge, to present the Adventist HealthCare 2nd Annual Gala honorees Ron and Joy Paul with the Spirit of Partnership Award.

Adventist HealthCare’s annual gala is our premiere fund-raising event of the year, bringing together business leaders, medical professionals, and other supporters in the community. On Saturday, November 19th, over 500 guests filled the Bethesda North Marriott ballroom to celebrate Adventist HealthCare “Your Heart. Our Hands” Gala. The Gala raised over $300,000 to support and advance Adventist HealthCare’s cardiac programs and other services.
Awards were presented for outstanding contributions to Adventist HealthCare’s mission and its future.  Ron and Joy Paul were honored with the Spirit of Partnership Award for their commitment to fostering the health and well-being of our community. Mr. Paul is the chairman and CEO of Eagle Bank and Mrs. Paul is a licensed clinical social worker. They are generous donors to AHC and many other charitable organizations.
“Adventist HealthCare has been recognized as a leader in cardiac care since performing the area’s first heart valve surgery in 1962, said Dr. Paul Massimiano, Medical Director of Minimally Invasive Heart Surgery at Washington Adventist Hospital. “Since then, there have been many other “firsts”—in 1971 the region’s first open heart surgery was performed at Washington Adventist Hospital, and in 1992, Adventist HealthCare opened the region’s first Chest Pain Center.  Today, both Washington Adventist Hospital and Shady Grove Medical Center have cycle 4 chest pain centers.”
“Proceeds that are raised though our annual gala empowers Adventist HealthCare to enhance and expand programs and services to our community” said Jim Damron, Vice President and Chief Development Officer for Adventist HealthCare. “We are grateful to all our supporters who are valued partners in that mission.”
